After further discussions with firms and software providers, CME decided to postpone this launch until further notice. For questions or concerns, please contact CME Clearing House at 312-207-2525.
(Below is a copy of the original advisory # 06-68):
Currently, when firms use the browser-based user interface for Front-End Clearing (FEC) to make changes to the account number,
origin or CTI code for electronically-executed trades (e-cbot or Globex), CME Clearing does not send TREX change confirm messages
to clearing firms. These "change confirm" messages are generated only if the firm makes the change by sending TREX messages.
Beginning Monday, March 27, 2006, and in response to firms' requests, CME will start providing TREX change confirm messages
for changes done via the FEC user interface. With this enhancement, when a change is made to Globex or e-cbot trades in FEC,
CME will send a TREX change confirm message to clearing firms via their MQM channels and queues.
We would like to remind firms of the following rules regarding making changes on electronic trades:
• For top day trades, changes can be made on the account, origin, CTI code or to mark trades for APS, Giveup or MOS.
• The change maintenance window is available until 6:00 p.m. Chicago time. After that time firms can only mark top day trades
for APS, Giveup or MOS. However, firms can continue making regular changes for next business day trades.
Firms which currently receive TREX change confirm messages for changes done via API, will automatically begin receiving change
confirm messages for changes done via the user interface. If your firm currently is not configured to receive electronic
change confirms and wishes to do so, please forward an email to ccs@cme.com to formally request that.
Thank you
